I'm so excited to introduce you to Annie Butler, who joined for the first Portrait Pop-Up at Ampersand. Annie is the blogger behind Ida Street and recently moved to San Francisco from Cincinnati. We'll let her tell you more!
Hi Annie! Tell us a little about yourself, and your recent move to SF too.
I'm a twenty something, still growing up and trying to figure it all out. Recently, "figuring it out" meant moving from my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio to San Francisco. It's been an adventure, and I've learned a lot. I'm definitely making experiences I will never forget.
We know you're a talented blogger and marketing pro too. Tell us more.
I work in marketing for an adtech company by day, but on the side I love to write and plan posts for my life and style blog. I love blogging because, for me, it has brought together a group of women who are experiencing similar things and can support each other through it. There are so many strong, confident and creative people in this world -- blogging makes it easier to find people you may have never found before.
What are the top three things you'd recommend to someone visiting SF, or your hometown of Cincinnati?
Oh man! What I've loved so far about SF is the proximity to such AMAZING and breathtaking places in the country. For example, we drove three hours to get to Tahoe. I've never seen a more beautiful place in my life. In SF specifically, I've been loving the cute cafes and ice creameries. I'm a big fan of Smitten Ice Cream and Flour & Co. myself.
In Cincinnati, I have so many! I spent 25 years there so I could go on and on. Best to just contact me if you need any advice ;D
