Meet Jen, who shares wonderful stories about travel, food, photography and personal transformation over on her blog, In The Wonder. She and I share a love for photography and be warned: you will have travel envy after hearing about her last few years.
Hey, Jen! We'd love to hear about your passions, and you recent time spent in Bali too.
I'm a native San Franciscan who spent almost three years living in Ubud, Bali. I used Ubud as a home base while traveling all over South East Asia, India and Europe. I need to write, blog, photograph and tell stories. I love to laugh, wine and dine prodigiously and secretly dream of being a National Geographic photographer. At the same time, I'm drawn to any place with a mystical, energetic pull to it and will always be a spiritual seeker at heart. A borderline glutton and ascetic with a keen sense of style rolled into one. Oy vey!
Tell us more about your work, which keeps storytelling at core.
'm a freelance photographer and writer doing social media as a side hustle. I'm just starting to teach iPhonography classes, so please come out and join me!
Being a San Francisco native, we're especially curious to know about your favorite SF spots.
Go hang out on Hayes Street in Hayes Valley for an afternoon. Take an urban hike from Hayes & Gough Street all the way down to Market Street and walk to Dolores Park. If you missed ice cream at Smitten on Octavia & Hayes, then head to Bi-Rite on Dolores & 15th. From there, stay for drinks and dinner in the Mission. Try Dosa for Indian food, Sunflower for Vietnamese or Herbivore if you like vegetarian. If you love Mexican food, just follow the smells on Valencia or Mission Street.
